How to measure for custom drapes…
- Measure from the bottom of the crown molding or from the ceiling (if there is no crown mold) to the top of the window frame. This is needed for rod location.
- Measure from the bottom of the crown molding or from the ceiling (if there is no crown mold) to the floor. This is needed to figure the correct drapery length.
- Measure the window width from outside casing to outside casing. This is needed to figure the correct drapery width.
- Measure the wall space on each side of the window to the corner of the room or to the next opening. This determines how much space there is on each side of the window for stack-back of the curtains.
